N&C students

Welcome to the Neuroscience and Cognition (N&C) students page of the Mind the Brain symposium. Here, you will find information on what we expect from you as a student and documents containing guidelines for presentations, posters, pitches, and abstracts.

General information

The 2019 edition of Mind the Brain takes place on the 13th and 14th of June at the Science Park in Utrecht.

The symposium offers all of you the opportunity to:

  • present the work that is being done in all of your internships;
  • work on your academic skills;
  • meet with your fellow students;
  • learn from neuroscientists during  for instance keynote lectures and workshops.

Therefore, participating in the symposium is mandatory for all N&C students.

Every student who is in the Netherlands at the time of the symposium is required to send us an abstract of their internship project. Additionally, every student is required to:

  • give an oral presentation of max. ten minutes to half the audience (around fifty people) OR
  • give a one-minute pitch followed by a poster session in the UMC foyer, in which you are required to stand about twenty minutes at your poster to answer questions of visitors.

Students who are doing their internship abroad at the time of the symposium are required to:

  • send in an abstract and
  • send in their poster via e-mail (info@mindthebrain.nl).
